Durham Community Choirs' Policies

Registration Policy

Durham Community Choir Registrations are due when a chorister commits to participating in the semester, or after the chorister has attended three rehearsals, whichever comes first. Note that you will be asked to pre-register by providing contact information (name, e-mail, phone number) at the first rehearsal that you attend. New choir members are encouraged to try out the choir by attending up to three rehearsals before deciding to participate in the semester. After the sixth rehearsal of the semester, choristers may only join the choir with the permission of the Director.

Refund Policy

If a chorister withdraws from the Choir after paying the semester's registration fee, refunds will be granted, upon request, as follows:
  1. Within six (6) days of the first rehearsal attended, 100% of any paid registration (minus a $20 administration fee)
  2. Within twenty (20) days of the first rehearsal attended, 75% of any paid registration; otherwise,
  3. Before the last rehearsal at which new choristers are accepted, 50% of any paid registration
  4. After the last rehearsal at which new choristers are accepted, 0% of any paid registration.
All refunds will be issued by cheque only.
